Community Education announces classes, activities

Aerobics/Strength Combo class will be at 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays for five weeks beginning May 31. Fee is $27.
Soccer Fun for ages 3 through grade 2 (as attended during the 2015-2016 school year) will be during the month of June. Fee is $28 for 7 sessions.
Home Alone class for those who just finished third grade or older will be June 1. Tips on safety and how to deal with loneliness and boredom will be emphasized. Fee is $25.
Summer Exercise Challenge is a simple, but fun community activity  open to all. Will you make your way across Rock County or even Minnesota with this fun challenge offered by Prairie Rehabilitation? An initial visit on June 1 will provide information and discuss excersise options.  The midway check will be July 6, and final numbers are turned in Aug. 10.  Fee is $10.
Maximize Social Security. class is June 6 for those 55-62 years old. Fee is $5.
DNR Firearms Safety Instructor training class is June 7. Become an instructor to encourage the next generation of hunters. No charge. Participants must be 18 years old, pass a background test and register online at dnr.state.mn.us. Call 283-4724 for details.
Early Play Ball teaches the skills for baseball and softball beginning the week of June 8. Evening times are available. Fee is $28.
Adventure Games Day Camp, for students who attended grades 1-4 during the 2015-2016 school year, on Friday, June 10, is three hours of fun playing all kinds of ‘games’ with a new twist added. Fee is $15.
Little Ninja Boys offers obstacle courses, balance activities and fun strength-building games perfect for age 3 through grade 2 (as attended during the 2015-2016 school year). Fee is $20 for this four-session class beginning June 13.
Keeping the Farm in the Family will focus entirely on estate planning. Dominic Smith of Marshall will be in Luverne to answer your questions about  keeping the farm in the family on June 14. Fee is $5.
Discovery Time School Readiness Preschool registrations are being accepted now for September of 2016. There are classes for ages three, four and five.
Families, daycares, and visitors are invited to play and learn in the Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom located on the southwest corner of school property. Engraved brick pavers line the path into the classroom and are sold to cover costs for upkeep and new materials.  For paver ordering information, call 283-4724.
