Patriots place second at SWC-E golf triangular
The Hills-Beaver Creek boys’ golf team placed second during a triangular meet hosted by Southwest Christian-Edgerton Thursday at the Adrian Area Country Club.
The Patriots posted a 198-stroke total as a team to nip SWC-E (199) in the final standings.
Westbrook-Walnut Grove claimed the team title with a 181.
Stuart Plimpton led the charge for the 8-6 Patriots by firing an eight-over-par 44.
Preston Maassen, Trevor Paulsen and Dylon Taubert contributed respective 47-, 53- and 54-stroke scores to the team tally, while Noah Hellerud carded a 65 without impacting the scoring.
Cole Bunting earned medalist honors by shooting a 41, while Jeremy Vander Woude paced SWC-E with a 45.
