Saint Mary's University Social Studies Education major Samuel Vetch, son of David and Sara Vetch, Luverne, was nominated for the university's Outstanding Senior Male Award.
Nominees demonstrate the ideals of scholarship, character, leadership, service to colleagues and the university community, as well as genuine concern for the needs of others.
Vetch’s involvement at Saint Mary's includes Lasallian Collegians, tutoring and disability services, and Delta Epsilon Sigma (national scholastic honor society), and he was a leader for Together Encountering Christ (TEC) retreats along with participation in musical groups and intramural activities.
After graduation, he plans to volunteer at Cretin-Derham Hall as a teacher and campus minister.
