‘Book Your Winter Getaway’ reading program starts
“Book Your Winter Getaway,” the annual winter reading program sponsored by the Plum Creek Library System and its member libraries, began Jan. 2 and continues through March 31.
The annual winter program, open to ages 18 and older, rewards readers for doing what they love to do — read. Participation is simple: sign up at your local library, and pledge to read at least 12 books during the three-month program.
In Rock County, library patrons who complete the challenge will receive incentive prizes and individual libraries will be recognized for the number of new participants enrolled in the program and most books read throughout the three-month period.
For more information, call the Rock County Library, 283-5040.

No book donations to library
Due to the lack of space while the Rock County Library undergoes renovation, the Friends of the Library request that all book donations be held until the remodeling work is complete.

Quilt show underway at Carnegie
The quilts created by the Blue Mound Quilters are currently on display at the Carnegie Cultural Center through Feb. 6. The Carnegie is open from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
A reception is scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23.
