Lead Summary
, ,

Six Luverne Middle School students were chosen by audition from hundreds of students around the state to participate in the American Choral Directors Association of Minnesota seventh- and eighth-grade honor choir. They are (front, from left) Quinn Buss, Carson Ehde, Seno Chanthalangsy, (back) Jordan Winter, Matthew Sehr, Andrew Wagner and Luverne choir director Seana Graber. Nearly 700 students auditioned for the choirs, and only 145 boys and 150 girls were selected.

The students rehearsed and performed with seventh- and eighth-grade boys’ and girls’ honor choirs in Mahtomedi Saturday, Nov. 21, and performed a public concert in St. Andrews Lutheran Church that night. “This is a great honor for the students,” Graber said.

Hills-Beaver Creek students Brynn Mongeau (left) and Allison LaRock were also accepted into the elite girls’ middle school honor choir, which performed ahead of the boys’ choir Nov. 21.
