good samaritan society provides grant to ATLAS

Lead Summary

Through the Social Accountability Grant Program started in 2010, the Good Samaritan Society offers grants up to $10,000 each for start-up or continued support for social accountability projects.
These projects must primarily serve individuals in the community and reflect the Christian mission of the Good Samaritan Society.
Good Samaritan Society-Luverne submitted a grant application on behalf of ATLAS of Rock County, which resulted in a $2,500 grant for the program.
For the last year, ATLAS of Rock County has been helping individuals and families in the community by working to locate and deliver needed furniture.
Additionally, they have been helping those without support systems in the area move from one home to another.
Sometimes these situations are emergencies. Both of these activities have produced the need for an enclosed trailer.
The $2,500 grant provided by Good Samaritan Society will be used to help purchase a trailer and moving equipment.
