Luverne High School seniors Cole Bosch and Morgan Haugen were crowned the 2015-16 Homecoming king and queen Monday night, Sept 28, during the school’s coronation ceremony in the elementary gymnasium.
Other king candidates were Jack Baustian, Nicholas Overgaard, Connor Sandbulte and Erik Tofteland, and queen candidates were Samantha Aanenson, Karissa Hamann, Brianna Jonason and Madilyn Oye.
Masters of ceremonies were Taylor Nelson and Mira Uithoven.
Nicole Kneip and Brandon Claussen were program attendants.
Pages were Kassidy Saarloos, daughter of Jeremiah and Michelle Saarloos, and Benjamin Hartquist, son of Jeff and Sara Hartquist.
Class representatives were freshmen Mackenzie Petersen and Nathan Overgaard; sophomores Jocilyn Oye and Nicklaus Harder; and juniors Kristen Ziegler and Joel Thacker.
Foreign exchange students were Naomie Daniel from France, whose escort was Erik Wohnoutka, and Di Ma from China, escorted by Susan Thompson.
Last year’s Homecoming queen Kynzie Smedsrud crowned this year’s king and queen.
Last year’s LHS Homecoming king, Connor Crabtree, is a student at the University of Minnesota – Duluth and was unable to attend Monday’s event.
