Sept. 11
•Glen’s Food Center reported they have been getting counterfeit coupons.
•Reserved for narcotic info.
•Complainant requested extra patrol in the area until their sale is over with.
•Complainant reported children that were left alone with a pre-teen and she was off playing with friends. Sent deputy to check on children.
•Complainant requested to speak to a deputy about a theft of some things that she is missing.
•Complainant reported that a vehicle was acting suspicious heading north on Blue Mound Ave. Went 10 mph most of the way and then up to 50 when going out of town, crossing the center line. Made a U-Turn at the park and came back to town heading west on Barck Ave.
Sept. 12
•Deputy arrested subject for DWI. Taken to jail.
•Deputy cited subject for no Minnesota driver’s license. Subject has an ICE warrant.
•Complainant reported theft of money and credit cards out of her wallet.
•Complainant reported she lived with someone for a short time and got the short end of the stick and moved out. She still has stuff there and wants to get it.
•Complainant reported there were kids outside screaming and sometimes this goes on all night long. He is really tired of it. Deputy spoke with the kids and he will stop back after 10 p.m. and address it if they are still out there.
Sept. 13
•Deputy stopped subject and cited him for possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle; drug paraphernalia, underage drinking and driving and underage possession of alcohol.
•Complainant reported someone hit a cement flower pot at W. Brown Street and N. Kniss Avenue and pushed it into the street. Vehicle is not at the scene. Deputy found subject and arrested him for DWI and took him to jail.
•Complainant reported he went to a business and the doors were open and cash drawer was open but no one was there. Unable to contact anyone so deputy checked everything over and locked the doors. Left message for owner.
•Complainant requested extra patrol at a business for a while.
•Complainant reported teen tearing around in a Ford 4-door throwing gravel up over his car and there are small children playing in the area.
•Complainant reported they were following a maroon, older Grand Marquis westbound on County Rd. 4 that was swerving all over the road. Car turned into Casey’s and they lost him. Complainant is willing to sign a statement.
•Complainant reported that the same four-wheelers were tearing up Magnolia going back and forth between the dad and son’s place.
•Complainant reported a vehicle stolen around 5 p.m. Found out someone picked up the vehicle to work on it, as previously agreed by complainant. Not stolen.
Sept. 14
•Complainant requested a deputy for a domestic situation and the victim is frightened. She was getting an Order for Protection today.
•Complainant reported a big hole in the road on Hwy. 270, 1/8 mile west of Hwy. 75. Notified State Patrol to contact MNDot.
•Complainant reported theft of some property.
•Luverne Fire Department reported all units will be out for a drill.
Sept. 15
•Complainant reported subject needs mental health evaluation.
•Complainant requested a residence check for two weeks.
•Complainant reported they have some bad checks.
•Complainant reported someone broke into his house last night and stole a gaming console, jewelry and his wallet.
•Complainant reported that a child locked himself in the vehicle and they were unable to reach the locksmith. G&S was contacted and advised of the situation. Called complainant back to tell her, and the vehicle was unlocked and child was out.
•Complainant reported she is receiving threats from subject.
•Complainant called 911 and requested deputies for a domestic issue.
•Complainant reported issues between parents and teen.
•Complainant requested a deputy to help bring a client in the house. Deputy spoke with her and she went back in.
•Complainant reported subject put a note on her vehicle threatening to cut a hole in her fence and take care of her dog if she lets it out and it continues to bark.
Sept. 16
•Complainant reported that a mother is not getting her child to school. When the school calls, the mother will not answer or return calls. There have been twelve days of school with four incidents.
•Complainant reported possible child abuse.
•Complainant reported child neglect.
•Reserved for POR registration.
•Complainant reported a staple gun in the intersection of the northbound lane at Hwy. 75 and Main Street. Trooper picked it up.
•Complainant requested a vehicle be moved from N. Estey St. and W. Main St. It is a white pickup filled with carpet and couches.
•Deputy had a vehicle towed from N. McKenzie St. for expired plates. It has been there for a long time.
•Complainant reported that a black pickup was tearing up the corner at 110th Ave. and 115th St. It was headed back into town on 115th Street past the cemetery.
•Complainant reported there is a dog in a car at Glen’s with the windows rolled up and the dog was really panting. Sent deputy to check on dog. It was not in distress at this time but he will stop back in ten minutes to check on it again.
•Complainant reported man with dementia left his residence driving a red Chevy truck club cab. Deputy located subject outside of town and took him to his daughter’s.
•Complainant reported that her son will not listen to her and would like a deputy to come and talk to him.
Sept. 17
•Complainant requested an escort while he moves a grain bin.
•Complainant requested a deputy come and speak with him about a renter situation.
•Nobles County reported they have a vagrant they are bringing to Magnolia and would like us to transport him to the South Dakota border.
•Complainant reported his vehicle has been vandalizes several times in the school parking lot and the school is refusing to do anything about it.
•Complainant reported he received a threatening phone call from a neighbor over tree branches in their field.
•Deputy arrested subject for D.A.S., no proof of insurance and failure to appear.
•Complainant reported a vehicle swerved wide and almost ran her off the road on County Rd. 4 and 80th Ave.
•Deputy cited subject for expired driver’s license.
•Dispatcher received a 911 call with no one on the line and no answer on callback. Sent deputy to make sure everything was OK.
In addition, officers responded to 7 motor vehicle accidents, 3 transports, 1 funeral escort, 17 ambulance runs, 1 parking violation, 6 paper services, 3 animal complaints, 2 false alarms, 1 fingerprint request, 24 driver’s license checks, 7 log/alarm sheets, 8 drug court tests, and issued 2 purchase/carry permits and 3 burn permits.
