A 16-year-old boy on rollerblades suffered minor injuries when he struck a pickup truck at the intersection of Donaldson and West Main streets at 10:12 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 10.
Trae Davis of Luverne was participating in a physical education class and was rollerblading south on Donaldson Street, according to Rock County Sheriff Evan Verbrugge.
Davis was unable to stop as he approached West Main Street, came through the intersection and struck an eastbound 1999 GMC Sierra driven by William Korth, 56, also of Luverne.
Verbrugge said as Korth approached the intersection he caught sight of Davis’ approach out of the corner of his eye. Davis struck the front of the vehicle causing light damage to the truck.
Davis was transported to Sanford Luverne Hospital, where he was treated for a cut knee, bumps and bruises and was released.
No citations were issued, Verbrugge said.
