Twenty-three bands coming to Tri-State Band Festival Sept. 26

The 65th Annual Tri-State Band Festival will be Saturday, Sept. 26, with 23 bands participating.
Parade competition begins at 9:30 a.m. on Main Street in downtown Luverne. Nineteen marching bands will perform on the parade route. 
Parade marshals for the 65th Annual Tri-State Band Festival are Luverne High School custodians.
The field competition begins at 12:30 p.m. at the Cardinal Football Field at 709 North Kniss Avenue (Highway 75). Thirteen bands are registered for the event.
Admission to the field competition is a Tri-State Band Festival button available for $5 during the parade or at the field competition.
The 65th Annual Tri-State Band Festival booklets featuring information on competing bands will be available for $5.
The 2015 participating bands from South Dakota are Brandon Valley High School, Brandon, Brookings, Garretson, Lennox, Madison, Menno, O’Gorman High School, Sioux Falls, Roosevelt High School, Sioux Falls, Tea, West Central High School, Hartford and Yankton.
Iowa schools participating this year are Boyden-Hull, George-Little Rock, Sibley-Ocheyedan and West Lyon of Inwood.
Bands from Minnesota attending the festival are Adrian, Murray County Central, Pipestone Area, Stewartville and Worthington.
Host bands are Luverne Middle School and Luverne High School bands.
