July 31
•Reserved for possible sex offense.
•Complainant reported receiving harassing text messages and sexually explicit photos on her cell phone from an Iowa number. Complainant has spoken with her cell phone provider about blocking the number.
•Deputy conducted a motorist assist on Hwy. 75 mm 23.
•Dispatcher received two calls at the same time about trouble at the fair. Both callers were a different part of the disturbance. Deputies spoke with one party and his mother. They requested a conversation with the other party involved.
•Deputy reported he was out on a motorist assist. They are looking for a lost wallet that was lost somewhere between here and I-90. They will be checking exit ramps.
Aug. 1
•Complainant reported a property line dispute.
•Complainant reported a wrong way driver on I-90 near the Luverne exit. Also notified State Patrol.
•Complainant reported he is on vacation and his neighbor told him that people have been going in and out of his house without permission.
•Complainant reported theft of items and she has video footage.
•Reserved for a sex offense.
•Complainant reported she lost a bag off the back of her motorcycle somewhere on I-90 near mm 5. There is a 9mm Smith and Wesson M&P shield handgun registered to her husband.
•Hardwick Fire Department and ambulance will be at the race track at the fairgrounds.
•Complainant reported someone is shooting off fireworks and there are residents with PTSD.
•Reserved for fire drill from earlier in the night.
Aug. 2
•Complainant reported a loud party on N. Kniss Avenue. Spoke with owner who said he would turn it down and keep it down.
•Complainant requested a welfare check on a guy who is in the city park to make sure he’s OK. He’s probably sleeping in his pickup. Deputy reported he is getting ready to set up for a picnic and just taking a nap.
•Complainant reported to one of the deputies about two 9-10-year-old girls riding around town in a golf cart. They also ran a stop sign.
•Dispatch received a fire alarm at 203 Oak Dr. Paged Luverne Fire Department.
•Complainant requested extra patrol because there are kids hanging out in the area and she has had her vehicle messed with before. Deputy spoke with a group of individuals on SW Park Street who claim to be visiting family and are just in the alleyway visiting.
Aug. 3
•Complainant reported he thinks there are some teen boys breaking into the shed at the softball fields in Hills. Deputy advised no damage and all juveniles were given rides home and parents were talked to.
•Complainant reported some people yelling and carrying on loudly in Steen. Complainant said it was loud enough to wake her up. Deputy reported that upon his arrival, everything was quiet. Deputy spoke with offenders and they were advised of the complaint. Noise stopped.
•Complainant reported that a child said her father choked her a couple of times.
•Complainant reported a dirty looking person standing on the bridge, possible a vagrant, hitchhiking. Was scared for the children in the park because the dirty person was nearby. Deputy drove him back to Magnolia.
•Complainant reported a man without a valid driver’s license was driving in Hills.
•Complainant requested to speak to a deputy about a threatening phone call.
•Reserved for criminal sex conduct.
•Complainant requested to speak to a deputy regarding her ex taking the kids to St. Thomas.
•Complainant reported a possible break-in. There are things missing and last week she found her door open.
•Complainant reported he is being harassed on Facebook.
•Complainant reported a suspicious red car parked in the middle of the road by the Veterans pond. Deputy reported the vehicle is in an odd place but appears to be legally parked and there are no occupants in the area.
Aug. 4
•Complainant reported hearing what he thought was gunshots on S. Donaldson Street.
•Complainant requested a random alcohol test for D.O.T. Tested negative.
•Complainant reported a black duffel bag in the middle of I-90 westbound at mm 6.
•Dispatch received a 911 hangup from subject. It was a child playing on the phone.
•Deputies served warrant on subject and took him to the Nobles County jail.
•Reserved for predatory offender registration update.
•Complainant reported subjects are harassing her. Complainant was advised to get a restraining order.
Aug. 5
•Complainant reported she is being harassed. Complainant was advised to get a restraining order.
•Complainant reported subject wrote a bad check to Glen’s.
•Complainant reported they had a shoplifter last Saturday around 11 a.m. There is video footage.
•Complainant reported she received a fraud e-mail and somehow they have her full social security number.
•Complainant reported someone left a TV and a cabinet in front of their business.
•Complainant reported someone is stalking her. She is not sure what his name is but he has been following her around. Subject is an older, bigger man with a cane and drives an older gray car. Unsure of make and model.
•Complainant reported someone stole money out of his room.
•Complainant reported her ex came to her house and pounded on the door and tried to get in. He’s drunk. Subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and trespassing and taken to jail.
Aug. 6
•Complainant reported about two hours ago, subject choked her and threw her out of his house. Deputies spoke with complainant, who was extremely intoxicated, and there was no answer at subject’s house. Will follow up.
•Complainant requested assistance with a criminal sex conduct case.
•Complainant reported solicitors will be in Luverne for approximately one month and they have a valid solicitor’s license from the city. They will be representing Otten Exteriors.
In addition, officers responded to 6 motor vehicle accidents, 1 transport, 10 ambulance runs, 1 parking violation, 11 paper services, 9 animal complaints, 1 false alarm, 1 fingerprint request, 1 driver’s license check, 8 log/alarm sheets, 7 drug court tests, and issued 3 purchase/carry permits and 7 burn permits.
