July 24
•Complainant reported he is receiving threats.
•Complainant reported that she heard on the news about a white male trying to abduct children. Complainant reported that she had a similar incident happen to her last week Friday at her residence.
•Complainant reported he lost his cell phone while out walking. It’s a Tracfone, touch phone LG34.
•Complainant reported some vandalism at the ball park in Steen.
•Complainant reported his washer is filling with brown dirty water. Left a message for city personnel.
•Dispatcher received a 911 call from the hotel but the front desk advised they don’t know what room it came from.
•Deputy reported a horse trailer blew a tire. He will follow vehicle to County Rd. 8 where the owner will try to take the tire off. Deputy will attempt to help the owner find a trailer.
•Complainant reported his wife called him and said there was a strange pickup that pulled up at the house and a stranger was headed to the door. They would like a deputy to head that way. Complainant called back and said the neighbor was there now, too, so a deputy does not need to come.
•Deputy stopped vehicle and cited subject for no Minnesota driver’s license and speeding.
July 25
•Complainant reported her backyard neighbor’s dog is barking and has been for an hour and the back door is wide open. Dog was taken care of by owner.
•Complainant reported a large piece of metal in the left lane of I-90 mm 6.
•Complainant reported that subject threatened him via phone. Deputy spoke with subject and subject will be forwarding text messages he received from complainant.
•Complainant reported subject is contacting her in violation of an order for protection. Also contacted Marshall, MN Police Department as subject is living there.
July 26
•State Patrol arrested subject for DWI. Vehicle towed by G&S. Subject was taken to jail.
•Dispatcher received a 911 call but they were disconnected before it was answered.
•Complainant reported a black Mazda has been lurking around Hills since spring and whenever he tried to approach it, the car would take off. He followed the car to Larchwood, Iowa, to confront the driver and driver said he’s from the area and likes to drive around.
•Complainant reported his pickup is on fire near the hog barn at 1033 60th Ave. Paged Beaver Creek Fire Department.
•Complainant reported his ex-wife assaulted him and locked him out of his house. They are having custody issues also.
•Complainant reported a van full of people came into Subway and were harassing her. Complainant asked them to leave and they went to McDonald’s. Deputy reported it was an unruly customer and no threats were made.
•Complainant requested a deputy right away for a domestic.
July 27
•Nobles County Sheriff’s Office reported an active domestic in their county and requested help. Deputy assisted Pipestone County, State Patrol and Nobles County.
•Complainant requested a deputy for the patient from the previous ICR who took off. He’s outside kicking at and yelling at his wife. Deputy reported they are going to cancel the ambulance and he will transport patient to Sioux Falls.
•Reserved for Fire Department drill.
•Complainant reported daughter’s boyfriend took off with their two-month-old child and will not return the child.
•Reserved for narcotics info.
July 28
•Complainant reported a manhole cover on the southbound side of N. Kniss Ave. at Adams Street came out and damaged his trailer. Sent deputy and contacted the city.
•Complainant requested to speak with a deputy about a trespassing issue.
•Complainant reported his wife may be having a heart attack and he would like a deputy to escort him to the hospital.
•Complainant requested a deputy present for custody exchange.
•Complainant reported a vehicle with its doors open and a person appearing to be passed out in the parking lot of the Vets Home. Driver just got off work and was so tired that she fell asleep in the vehicle.
July 29
•Deputy arrested subject for DWI and called G&S to tow. Subject taken to jail.
•Complainant reported someone came into her house and took a bunch of her things. She knows who did it and wants to press charges.
•Reserved for POR registration.
•Complainant brought in a Mastercard that someone lost. Contacted credit card company to have them contact the card holder.
•Complainant reported that on Facebook subject posted that if he drives by his house again, he will get it twice, referring to slashing complainant’s tires. Subject has already done this once.
•Complainant reported subject has threatened to kill an ex who lives in Rock County.
•Complainant reported they just fired someone and he took off with a company pickup and is very upset.
•Complainant reported a possible burglary. Doors were open and lights were on. When the owner gets home, she will come in and report what is missing.
July 30
•Complainant reported a vehicle in the alley with at least one person checking out garages. Thought it was suspicious. Deputy checked and subject is just talking to a friend.
•Complainant requested welfare check on subject who missed an appointment this morning.
•Complainant reported credit card theft. Someone opened a card in his name that he did not authorize.
•Complainant reported vandalism to some stop signs.
•Complainant reported a brown Buick with a South Dakota license going over 90 mph on I-90. Notified State Patrol.
•Complainant reported his girlfriend was supposed to come and get some things out of his house today. He was gone and unaware she still had a key. She took her belongings and some items that did not belong to her.
•Dispatcher received a 911 call with no one on the line. Pocket dial.
•Complainant reported a male and a child walking on I-90 westbound about ½ mile west of Beaver Creek exit. Also notified State Patrol.
•Complainant reported fire trucks were out at the fairgrounds.
•Deputy found a pair of balk sunglasses with blue bows. They are in dispatch at the Rock County Sherriff’s Office.
In addition, officers responded to 3 motor vehicle accidents, 3 deer accidents, 1 transport, 2 funeral escorts, 12 ambulance runs, 2 parking violations, 5 paper services, 6 animal complaints, 1 fingerprint request, 7 log/alarm sheets, 6 drug court tests, and issued 2 purchase/carry permits and 8 burn permits.
