July 3
•Complainant reported problem with garage door.
•Complainant reported two people knocked on his door. Complainant yelled at them. One was wearing a skeleton mask and pants and the other was wearing shorts. Both had dark clothing and ran toward Blue Mound Ave.
•Complainant found a grey Stanley utility knife. Brought to Rock County Sherriff’s Office.
•Complainant reported several alarms going off at a business. They said it was either a burglary or there are cattle out. Deputy found fifty head of cattle. Alarm company will contact key holder.
•Complainant requested a deputy to go to I-90 mm 1 westbound lane for a light brown Buick Lacrosse with a 51-year-old female having chest pains and trouble breathing. Valley Springs Med Star were already started.
•Complainant requested a deputy assist while he gets his stuff, due to a restraining order.
•Complainant requested we check an electrical box in the alley behind the Blue Mound Towers. It appears to have been run into and wires are hanging.
•Complainant reported problems with getting his kids for the weekend. Deputy spoke with the mother and she will take them to a public meeting place. She was warned about withholding the kids from their father.
•Deputy was flagged down by a party looking for her 8-year-old daughter. She is with five other girls and thinks she is just out having fun. Mother called in and the girl has been located.
•Complainant reported a key hanging out of a door in the car lot. Contacted owner who will take care of it.
•Complainant reported there is a 4-year-old boy running down S. Kniss Avenue looking for his mom. Child said his name is James and that his mom left him at the house and now he is looking for her. Child released to his father who was at home.
•Complainant requested someone check on her sister-in-law because she didn’t sound well over the phone. Complainant thinks she may be overtaking her meds.
July 4
•Complainant reported six to seven kids vandalized property at the City Centre apartments. They knocked down ceiling tiles and damaged a fire exit sign. They were chased away by a tenant.
•Southwest Youth Services of Magnolia reported they have three runners: two Native Americans with short hair and one Caucasian with shoulder length brown hair who is limping. All three boys were wearing shorts. The boys headed southbound through the cornfield. They were all caught.
•Complainant reported the green house south of Ketterling’s is shooting off fireworks for the third day in a row. Complainant’s dog is tearing at the door to get out.
•Complainant reported her vehicle was stolen from her ex-boyfriend’s house. Complainant knows who took it.
•Deputy reported a door has been kicked in. It looks abandoned. Unable to make contact with the manager.
•Complainant reported she has residents with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and someone is shooting off fireworks across from the Hinkly House.
•Complainant reported aerial fireworks at a house on W. Lawn Park Avenue.
•Complainant reported three cars throwing fireworks at passing vehicles on 121st Street. One is an SUV and one is an older whitish Oldsmobile and there is one more but no description.
•Deputy stopped at 121st Street and 60th Avenue for a motorist assist.
July 5
•Complainant requested to speak to a deputy regarding getting an emergency order for protection against subject. Dispatch asked if subject was being abusive and complainant responded by saying she didn’t want to press charges.
•Deputy arrested subject for DWI and took him to jail.
•Complainant reported subject is trying to leave and is drunk. They have people restraining him and he is arguing. Subject would not cooperate with deputies so he was taken to jail for disorderly conduct.
•Complainant reported a lady on a four-wheeler with a kid sitting on the front and a 1- to 2-year-old sitting in front of her. Yesterday, the same four-wheeler had four kids and an adult while driving.
•Complainant reported a black pickup and camper blocking the sidewalk on North Oakley.
•Complainant reported a guy is yelling at a 10-year-old kid and complainant does not like it.
•Complainant reported a branch in the road. Deputy removed it.
•Deputy arrested subject for narcotics and had the vehicle towed. Subject was taken to jail.
July 6
•Complainant reported they would be having the Honor Guard fire off their rifles at the American Reformed Church after a funeral service on Tuesday, July 7.
•Dispatcher received a 911 call and could hear kids talking. Called the number back and woman said it was her granddaughter who must have been playing with the phone.
•Complainant reported that subject is on her way to complainant’s residence to pick up some belongings and they have had issues in the past. Complainant requested a deputy be present. Subject called in also and requested we send a deputy because of past history.
•Complainant reported a motorcycle accident by the airport. Motorcycle hit a dog. Paged helicopter to meet at the hospital. One person transported and owner of dog was contacted.
•Complainant requested we do a welfare check on a family that they have some concerns about.
•Reserved for narcotic laws.
•Complainant reported the crew working on Hwy. 75 will be closing a small section of the road at Gabrielson Road by the Exchange State Bank until tomorrow.
•Complainant reported that her house was broken into sometime in the last few hours. Believes only jewelry and medication was stolen.
July 7
•Complainant reported her 3-year-old child was missing when she woke up from her nap. Glen’s Food Center called and said the child was there alone. Sent deputy to get the child, along with the mother.

•Complainant requested extra patrol because people are speeding from Oakley Street at Main Street and out of town on County Rd. 4. They are going way too fast.
•Complainant reported man came over to work on her camper and subject came over and started yelling at the man. Two people called 911 about a dispute and requested deputies.
•Complainant reported his neighbor is pulling the siding off the house and throwing it, and a piece hit complainant’s house. Deputy spoke to both parties and advised the neighbor to be careful. Complainant’s house was not damaged.
•Complainant reported that he believes his neighbor stole two old Schwinn bikes from his yard.
•Complainant reported someone vandalized his house.
•Complainant reported a black car with Texas plates and a banner hanging out the window is currently parked but has been driving around and the occupants are drinking.
•Complainant reported someone is knocking on the door and shining lights through the windows. Complainant saw that it was two neighbor kids and they wanted him to open his garage and let out their trapped cat.
July 8
•Complainant reported Hwy. 75 will be closed from W. Hatting Street to W. Warren Street July 8 through July 9.
•Complainant reported there is a garbage can rolling around in the street.
•Complainant reported there will be four solicitors that were issued a permit going around selling products from Clear Satellite for Direct TV. They will be here from July 9 through July 11.
•Complainant requested a deputy come to her house. She wasn’t making sense so deputy ended up transporting her to the emergency room.
•Complainant requested a welfare check on subject who has not been seen for a while. Deputies reported that his car is home but he hasn’t been there for a while. Subject was located.
•Complainant reported a vulnerable adult.
•Complainant reported one of the runaways is back at their facility. They had previously been taken to Sioux Falls.

•Complainant reported she is watching an autistic boy and she went to her car and now he is missing. Boy was located.
•Complainant reported an abandoned bike on the bike path. It was a mountain bike and was put in the impound.
•Complainant reported problems with people in one of the rooms at the motel. Subject was removed from the property.
•Complainant reported cars are going down Donaldson Street with the road construction and they are going 40 mph.
•Complainant reported a group of girls outside on the east side of the Blue Mound Towers who were being loud. Complainant asked them to quiet down and they refused and made racist remarks.
•Complainant reported a boulder in the road at Hwy. 75 and 251st Street. It is approximately 3’X3’.
July 9
•Complainant reported her son did not come home last night. He asked her if he could stay the night at his cousin’s and she told him no. He won’t answer his phone.
•Complainant reported she was scammed on Craigslist. Subject was going to write her a cashier’s check, have her cash it and send back the extra money. Complainant is going to send back the envelope. She is not out of any money.
•Complainant reported a vagrant at the I-90 Luverne exit. He was transported to meet a Nobles County deputy to head east.
•Deputy received information that a 12-year-old boy is riding a dirt bike in the Manfred Addition and tearing up the grass. Deputy spoke with grandmother and told her not to let him do it again. Grandson lives on Britz Drive.
•Complainant reported she is being threatened, as well as her property. Complainant would like extra patrol around her residence.
•Complainant reported a vehicle swerved at him and yelled at him.
•Complainant reported that someone flagged down their deputy by Adrian to report a pedestrian walking on I-90 eastbound mm 14 with dark clothing on. Rock County deputy transported man to meet the Nobles County deputy.
•Complainant reported people playing basketball in the Baptist Church parking lot with loud music and making a lot of noise. Deputy spoke with some juveniles and they are done and will be quiet.
In addition, officers responded to 3 motor vehicle accidents, 1 deer accident, 1 vehicle in ditch, 1 transport, 2 funeral escorts, 18 ambulance runs, 1 parking violation, 5 paper services, 8 animal complaints, 2 fingerprint requests, 1 gas drive-off, 7 log/alarm sheets, 11 drug court tests, and issued 2 purchase/carry permits and 9 burn permits.
