NOTICE OF APPLICATION
FOR LIVESTOCK FEEDLOT PERMIT
Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes 116.07, subd. 7(a), that Craig Hawes has made application to the County of Rock for a permit to modify a feedlot with a capacity of 500 animal units or more.
The proposed feedlot will be located in the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 19 in Mound Township, Rock County, Minnesota.
The existing facility consists of open lots and partial confinement to house 20 head of cow calf pairs. The proposed modification will be a 100'x300' open lot, a 50'x120' open lot, both with runoff controls, and a 50'x120' partial confinement to house 500 head of finishing cattle. Manure from the cattle lot will be stored in pack on lot. Finished site will house 500 head of finishing cattle and 20 cow calf pairs equaling 524 animal units.
This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and each owner of real property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the proposed feedlot as required by Minnesota State Law.
