Meetings
TRIAD will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 25, at the Rock County Sheriff’s Office. 
Caregivers Support Group will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, in the conference room at the Mary Jane Brown Home in Luverne.
Sound Cascade Sweet Adeline Chorus rehearses at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays at Washington Crossing Senior Living in Sioux Falls (east side of Sioux Falls). Call 507-597-6288 with questions.

TOPS #698 Luverne (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) meets for weigh-in at 8 a.m. every Thursday at Pizza Ranch in Luverne. The meeting follows at 8:30 a.m.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets at 8 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays in the Rock County Community Library. Call 605-321-4324.
Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon meet from 8 to 9 p.m. every Thursday in Runals Memorial Hall, Edgerton. Call Naomi, 507-215-2956, with questions.
Luverne Optimist Club meets at 6:30 p.m. every first and third Monday of the month in the Howling Dog Saloon, Luverne.
Denver Township meets at 7:30 p.m. every third Tuesday each month at the City Hall in Hardwick.
Luverne Township Board meets at 9 a.m. the second Wednesday of every month in the Rock County Community Library.
Mound Township Board meets at 7:30 p.m. the second Monday each month at the Rock County Highway Building, Luverne.
Weight Watchers meets every Monday at First Presbyterian Church, Luverne. Weigh-in is from 5 to 5:30 p.m. and the meeting is from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Call 800-651-6000.
 
Register by June 25 for Master Gardeners tour
Register by Thursday, June 25, for the Rock County Master Gardeners Garden Tour. This year the Worthington Garden Club will share some of their gardens on Monday, June 29. Fee is $12. Call Luvene Community Ed at 283-4724 to reserve your spot.
 
‘Capture the Prairie’ exhibit at the Carnegie
The Carnegie is currently featuring a display by photographer Deb Leilani Parks, including photos taken at Blue Mounds State Park by her “Capture the Prairie” photography class. The exhibit is on display now until the end of July at the Carnigie Cultural Center in Luverne.
 
Henna tattoo demonstration at Adrian Elementary June 25
The public, ages 12 and older, can learn the history of Henna tattoos, presented by Mehndi Moon Henna, and get a free tattto from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, June 25, at the Adrian Elementary School in Adrian.
This project is funded, in part or in whole, with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
 
Kenneth Lutheran Church final service June 28
Kenneth Lutheran Church will host its final worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday, June 28, followed by a catered meal. Call Marilyn, 220-1115, or Vicky, 920-9191, if planning to attend.
 
Steen outdoor concert set for June 28
The 19th annual outdoor community concert will be at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 28, at the Steen City Park. Musical guests are Armon “Fuzz” Floyd, East of Westerville and Praise to Him Ministries. Bring lawn chairs or blankets. Enjoy free bars, juice and ice cream during the concert.
 
East Eden Church annual service
The East Eden Evangelical Lutheran Church annual worship is at 11 a.m. Sunday, June 28. Pastor Norman Omodt (who served the congregation during the 1970s) will officiate. The church is located two miles east and one mile north of Jasper. A potluck dinner will follow the service. The tolling of the bell and a program on Pastor Omodt’s missionary trips will be at 1:30 p.m.
The church will be cleaned at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 27. Volunteers are needed. Call Bev Hunstad, 507-348-4126, with questions.
 
Pint Size Polkas at library June 29
Mike Schneider and his Pint Size Polkas will be at the Rock County Community Library at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 29. Families and children of all ages can discover the fun of polka music. The program is free and is sponsored by the Minnesota Library Legacy grant.

Parents and grandparents can make memories on June 29 for a trip to the Omaha Zoo & Aquarium. Fee per person is $50, which covers the bus and zoo admission.
Build a mini roller-coaster, whip up a tasty snack, get wild with nature or let out your creative side at Hands on Fun Project Day on June 29. Students who attended grades 3 – 7 during the 14-15 school year should pre-register by June 15. Fee is $15.
Create on Canvas class will take your skills up a notch as you bring a bouquet to paint at Garden Flowers on June 30. Fee is $30.  (for age 10 through adult)
Preschool children ages 3–5 years will learn about science, math and reading through fun activities at Bug Count Up PS Fun Day on June 30. Fee is $10.
Kids who attended grades K–6 will have fun at Wacky Watermelon Kids in the Kitchen class on Wednesday, July 1. Fee is $18.
The July 13–18 week long Cinderella Theatre Camp has openings for students who attended Kindergarten during 2014-15 through age 7. Register now. Fee is $40.

Register for 2016 Discovery Time preschool. There are openings for children ages 3, 4, or 5 years in the Tuesday/Thursday afternoon classes. 
All 3-year-old children living in Minnesota will do an Early Childhood Screening as they near age 4. If your child is nearly 4 years old or already 4 and has not been screened, call 283-4724 to arrange an appointment.
