Mary Alice Kinde, 66, Faribault, died Monday, June 15, 2015, at St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault following an extended illness.
A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 19, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Faribault. Burial will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Mary Alice Bendt was born March 14, 1949, to Ferdinand and Ruth (Langdale) Bendt in Luverne.  She graduated from Luverne High School in 1967. 
On May 1, 1993, she married Jerry Kinde at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Mary worked for 37 years at the Minnesota State Academy for the Blind as an assistant teacher.  During this time Mary founded a Girl Scouts Troop at MSAB.  She was also part of the Christ Through Hands Ministry at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. She retired from MSAB in 2008.
Mary is survived by her husband, Jerry Kinde, Faribault; her foster son, Joel Carlson, West Concord; a brother, James (Diane) Bendt, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; a sister, Twila (Tom) Simon, New Hope; nieces Stacy Zank and Kacie Mikell; special friends Gerald and Genney Lynch, Owatonna, and their children, Katie Lynch, Andrew Lynch and Jamie Kuhlman; four adopted grandchildren, Dominic, James, Gabriel and Daniel Kuhlman; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
