Buffalos record first victory

The Tri-State Buffalos broke through Saturday in Rockwell, Iowa.

After dropping the first two games of the Southern Plains football season at home, the Buffalos turned things around by rolling to a 60-26 victory over the North Iowa Bucks in their first road game of the season.

Tri-State faced a deficit early in the first quarter before dominating the rest of the half to open a 40-20 cushion at the intermission.

The Buffalos proceeded to outscore the Bucks 28-6 in the second half to prevail by 34 points at game’s end.

Tri-State, 1-2 overall, returns to action May 30 when they entertain the Buffalo Ridge Wildcats in Hills.

Game time is 6 p.m.
