Margaret Hope Nelson, 80, Luverne, died Sunday, May 3, 2015, at South Shore Care Center in Worthington.
A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
Margaret Fritz was born May 3, 1935, to Barney and Gettys (Cain) Fritz in Luverne. She graduated from Luverne High School and later worked as a clerk for the city of Luverne.
On July 23, 1976, she married Marv Nelson. After their marriage the couple lived in Luverne. They owned and operated The Corner Shop in Luverne.
Margaret was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Luverne. She enjoyed reading and traveling.
She is survived by four children, Paula (Wayne) Kolander, Heron Lake, Peggy Williamson, Kathleen, Georgia, Pam Verde, Worthington, and Tim (Denise) Bentson, Maple Grove; eight grandchildren, Alexa (Jason) Wozniak, Kelly Scheidt, Aaron Faber, Shannon Faber, Erica (Andrew) Battle, Rachel Verde, Adam Bentson and Emily Bentson; and three great-grandchildren, Adrienne Jackson, Andrew Jr. and Brianna Battle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Joshua Lee; an infant sister, Frances Fritz; and three brothers, Gene, Dan and Jim Fritz.
