Walgrave tossed a solid game to lead the Cardinals to SaturdayÕs three-run win over Springfield in the second game of the day.
Walgrave pitched two-hit ball while striking out six batters and walking one during a six-inning contest.
After Springfield touched the Cardinal hurler for one earned run in the bottom of the first, Walgrave blanked the opponents for the next five innings.
Luverne, on the other hand, scored three early runs and never trailed in the contest.
The Cardinals plated a pair of runs in the top of the first.
Fick reached base on a fielder's choice and scored the first run when Winkels bounced into a fielder's choice. Kyle Crable, who was pinch-running for Winkels, scored the second run on a wild pitch.
The Cards countered SpringfieldÕs run in the bottom of the first by scoring one in the top of the second.
Sandbulte reached base on a fielder's choice and scored on Luke Iveland's single.
Luverne capped the scoring in the fifth, when Fick walked, moved to second on a wild pitch, advanced to third on a ground out and scored on a wild pitch.

The Cardinals opened the tournament by coasting to a four-inning, 16-run victory over Okabena in Saturday's first game.
Luverne pounded out 13 hits in the game while scoring a season-high 17 runs. Ten of the runs came in a big second inning.
Playing as the visiting team, the Cards took control of the game by scoring three runs in the top of the first.
Fick and Fisher slapped RBI singles in the frame. Winkels added an RBI with a ground out.
Okabena trimmed the difference to two runs (3-1) in the bottom of the third before Luverne put the game away by scoring a total of 14 runs in the next two innings.
Jarchow, Walgrave and Fick supplied the key hits in the 10-run second inning. Fick doubled home a pair of runs. Jarchow and Walgrave chased home two runs each with singles.
Edstrom and Iveland singled home runs in the second. Kreun and Sandbulte picked up RBIs by drawing bases-loaded walks.
Iveland, who led the Cards by going four-for-four at the plate, doubled home a pair of runs to highlight a four-run third inning.
Sandbulte received an RBI for a sacrifice fly, and another counter scored on a wild pitch.
Kreun benefited from Luverne's 17-run outburst as the starting pitcher. He tossed all four innings to pick up the win. Kreun yielded three hits and one walk.
