Linda Wenzel of Zion Lutheran Church, Hardwick, presents a check for $852 to Jennifer Lindsey of the Rock County Southwest Crisis Center on Sunday, Dec. 8, in Hardwick. Wenzel is treasurer for Hardwick’s Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, which is the auxiliary of the Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod. The church raised the money during its annual soup supper, which supports local missions. “We chose Southwest Crisis Center as our project because we felt it was important and Jennifer is a member of our church,” Wenzel said. “She and I have been visiting about how to use the money and she had some great ideas … like trafficking awareness.”
