Lead Summary
,

1.) List experiences that will be helpful in fulfilling the position’s duties if you win the Nov. 8 general election.
2.) What do you think are the primary challenges facing your community and how will you lead your school through these challenges?

David Bullerman is seeking reelection to the Adrian School Board after serving one four-year term. He and his wife, Ann, have five children, Hannah, Moriah, Isaac, Hali and Jesse. Bullerman has lived at the same rural Adrian address for 47 years.
1.) I manage, own and budget our family farm operation.
2.) A current challenge facing our district is being able to keep our doors open. We need to make our school attractive to families outside our district and be able to retain good quality teachers.
Keith Sieve is running for a position on the Adrian School Board. He and his wife, Lisa, live in rural Wilmont and have three children, Brianna, Emily and Jacob. Sieve has lived in the school district most of his life.
1.) I am a farmer and deal with the challenges of running a business every day. I am a graduate of Adrian Public Schools. I have a bachelor’s degree in biology from South Dakota State University. I am on the advisory board for New Vision Co-op.
I teach CCD religion classes and coach basketball. My kids attend Adrian Public Schools and I want to be more involved in the running of the school. I want our tax dollars to be spent wisely and believe in looking at ways to get the most bang for the tax dollars spent.
2.) Challenges are:
•The diverse population of kids attending our school seeing that they are all given the opportunity for a decent education and the ability to use that education once they graduate.
•The amount of money it takes to run a school along with government involvement. Our tax dollars must be used wisely and stretched as far as possible.
•Hiring and keeping good educators. We must pay a decent wage to keep our teachers and support staff with the district. With good educators comes a great standing in the education community, which leads to a higher enrollment.
Lisa Kruger is seeking reelection to the Adrian School Board. She and her husband, Ryan, have four children, Brooke (19), Payton (16), Drake (11) and Jordan (6). They have lived in Adrian for the past five years and have lived in the Adrian School District for 12 years.
1.) I am a current board member of the District 511 School Board. I have served on this board for four years. I have coached the fifth- and sixth-grade boys/girls traveling basketball teams for six years.
I have taught religious education at St. Adrian for six years in different grade levels.
I am also a member of various church organizations. As part of my duties as a board member, I have served on the community education board and the staff development board.
2.) When issues arise within our district, they are addressed at our board meetings where we discuss and act on resolutions that we believe best fit our community and schools.
We have an outstanding school district compiled of some of the best teachers and staff around.  I am proud to be a part of this school district; to have a graduate from Adrian; and to have my children attend here.
Mark Lonneman is seeking reelection to the Adrian School Board. He and his wife, Lori, have four children, Aaron, Shaina, Kayla and Brady. All have attended Adrian Public Schools. Lonneman has live in Adrian his entire life and has farmed for more than 35 years.
1.) I have been on the Adrian School Board the last 16 years and have been chairman for the last 14 years.
2.) A primary challenge I see facing our schools involves staying within our budget while still keeping the schools safe and providing excellent educational opportunities. We need to stay competitive with salaries and health care benefits or we will lose staff to bigger schools that have more resources.
