Two fourth-graders are finalists in poster contest

The artwork of two fourth-graders is among 12 final designs being considered for the Sioux Valley Energy Billboard Contest.
Posters designed by Hills-Beaver Creek Elementary student Lily Top and Luverne Elementary student Trinley Vanderburg were chosen from 200 submissions to the 12th annual competition.
Each poster contained a farm safety message.
The top three posters for the billboard will be chosen by cooperative members’ votes at the upcoming district meetings, according to SVE spokesperson Sarina Hanson.
“The billboard contest is an exciting opportunity to get kids interested in safety as well as a great public awareness tool,” she said.
The last of 10 district meetings takes place April 2.
