Two Rock County men’s fast pitch softball teams competed at state softball tournaments Aug. 1 and 2.
Both the Beaver Creek and Steen teams finished as runners-up during the weekend tournaments.
Beaver Creek played at the South Dakota state tournament in Sioux Falls. The team went 3-2 in the tournament, losing to Scarlett’s 9-1 in the championship tilt.
Steen took the field at the Minnesota State tournament in Mankato. Steen went 4-2 during their tournament and lost to Rock Rapids 12-2 in the championship game.
Both teams’ only losses were to the eventual state champions.
