Stearns takes service oath

Jonathon Stearns (right) repeats the service oath administered by Rock County Sheriff Evan Verbrugge Tuesday, June 22, at the evening meeting of the Rock County Commissioners. Stearns was hired as a deputy sheriff in February and recently finished field training with the local law enforcement officials. Stearns, a 2018 Luverne High School graduate, is the son of Jeff and Victoria Stearns of Luverne. He replaces Greg Lingen, who resigned in December after 22 years of service.
