The summer Thursday Night Plaza series continued July 25 with Splish Splash Summer Bash in the History Center parking lot on East Main Street in Luverne.
The Luverne Fire Department was a big hit that evening as temperatures soared into the upper 80s with a heat index near 100 degrees. The department provided a gentle mist from the ladder truck and filled its portable water tank to be used for games and swimming.
Sterling’s Café and Grille served corn dogs and ice cream, and there were free water games and activities for all ages, sponsored by local businesses.
