South Hwy. 75 gets new driving lanes

Minnesota Department of Transportation workers spent several days last week repairing the tire impressions on both the north- and southbound lanes of South Highway 75 from Main Street to Koehn Avenue. The impressions were causing “dishing” or potentially unsafe driving conditions when it rains. Workers applied a thin layer of asphalt over the impressions on the existing asphalt and the surface cracks that have developed since the new asphalt was overlaid in 2015. Workers may return later to fill in the space between the strips to prevent water from pooling.
