Seniors say thank you to the community

Luverne High School’s Class of 2016 spent Friday morning completing community service projects. Each of the 91 seniors chose to pull weeds, paint, move materials, wash windows or scrub fire trucks.
Senior Service Day replaces the traditional Senior Skip Day in Luverne. Once the seniors finished the morning of service projects, they gathered at the City Park for a picnic before having the afternoon off from school. The weather was perfect for the activity, with temperatures reaching into the 80s. The last time temperatures were that warm was more than 200 days ago on Oct. 19, 2015.
