Social science and foreign language classrooms and the ninth-grade science lab were ready for use late last week at Luverne Middle-High School. The classrooms on the second floor of the south wing were delayed a month, with the affected teachers and students meeting in the school gymnasium and other areas until the classrooms were ready. The south wing’s first floor, which will contain the business, physical education and special education classrooms, will be ready for occupancy next week. “The majority of the remodeling — 90 percent of it — is complete,” said construction site supervisor Dave Mulert with ISC Builds. As the remodeling work is finished, workers will turn their attention to the new commons and performing arts center that are under construction. The construction project is scheduled to be fully complete in August 2021.
