Repurposing pages into book page wreaths

Lead Summary
, , ,

About a dozen people gathered at Take 16 Brewing Company in Luverne Thursday night, Dec. 12, to rip pages out of books under the watchful eye of Rock County Library Director Calla Jarvie. “It’s a good way for us to repurpose our discarded books,” Jarvie said about the recent book page wreath class. Yellow-tinged pages from aged dictionaries and 1970 romance novels were rolled, crumpled, stapled, taped and glued onto tagboard as holiday wreaths in the 90-minute class. The library has several do-it-yourself repurposing projects scheduled for 2020. A full listing is available at the library website www.rockcountcommunitylibrary.com.
