A small group of parents representing the junior class at Hills-Beaver Creek High School spent Sunday painting the towns red, white and blue.
Seventeen sidewalks and driveways in Hills and Beaver Creek each received a spray-painted H-BC mascot, which is the head of a Patriot
“We have a nice drying day,” said Kari Kueter.
This is the fourth year for the after-prom fundraiser.
For $40, residents and business owners can have the mascot painted as a symbol of school spirit.
Many existing driveway Patriots were touched up with new paint.
Using a set of three templates, volunteers first applied the white square base, followed by blue and finally red.
“We will do these until the weather turns,” Kueter said.
