Luverne woman drives into house, arrested for DWI

A Luverne woman is in jail after the vehicle she was driving struck a house.
Maren Jane Overgaard, 45, was driving a 2006 GMC Envoy, owned by Tollefson Publishing of Luverne, when she left the roadway and struck a porch at 504 W. Luverne St. at 9:54 p.m., Wednesday, June 10.
Homeowners Bill and Pauline Martin were not injured.
Overgaard was transported by Rock County Ambulance Services to Sanford Luverne Medical Center, where she was evaluated. After treatment for non-life threatening injuries, Overgaard was arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI) and transported to the Nobles County Jail in Worthington, according to Rock County Sheriff Evan Verbrugge. The incident remains under investigation.
Overgaard has been charged with first-degree damage to property, driving while impaired and fourth-degree driving while impaired.
The Luverne Fire Department assisted at the accident scene.
