Spring Loaded, Luverne's home, health and living show, is set for this weekend, and Chamber Director Jane Wildung Lanphere said the lineup of attractions this year is fresh and creative.
Among the seminars Saturday at the Palace Theatre will be Nate Golla of the Luverne Farm Store with his presentation, "Learn to Reseed Problem Areas in Your Yard."
Lanphere said her husband, Larry, is looking forward to that one.
"He reseeded the lawn five times last year," she laughed. "Nate's going to tell how to do it right the first time."
Golla's lawn information is the final seminar of the day at 2 p.m., and it includes a drawing for one year of free lawn care.
Other seminars at the Palace include "Courageous Pruning to Keep Your Home Landscape Fresh, Vibrant and Controlled," by master horticulturalist George Bonnema at 9 a.m.
At 10 a.m. will be Luverne's Spring and Summer Style Show with Tyanna's Boutique, Sassy Seconds, Redeemed Remnants and Dragonfly.
At 11 a.m. Wes Fuerstenberg of Glen's Food Center and Chef Rob of Sterling's Cafe and Grille will present "Fire and Smoke — Secrets to Good Barbecue."
At 12 noon will be "Craft Beer — The Top Secrets of the Trends." That seminar will be presented by Take 16 head brewer Luke Rensink and beer blogger Rachael Anderson.
At 1 p.m. Becky Feikema and Kathy Vander Lugt of ReBorn Home Furnishings will present "Take Your Chalk Paint Outdoors — Exterior Painting Project Ideas."
In addition to seminars at the Palace, some businesses are hosting their own special attractions.
For example, HGS Gallery is hosting an indoor art fair from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. featuring 14 local and regional artists.
The Blue Mound Banquet Center will host dozens of local businesses and vendors and will also have food and beverages available throughout the day.
In addition, Luverne businesses downtown and along Highway 75 will participate in the Spring Loaded events with special offers and demonstrations.

"It's going to really be a fun day in town," Lanphere said.
The Luverne Trolley will be available throughout the day to shuttle people between the Palace Theatre and the Blue Mound Banquet Center.
