Luverne Celebrates Loop Trail

After months of rain, snow and gray skies, the Luverne Area Chamber organized a “Bike, Walk, Ride” event for Thursday, May 16, on The Loop bike trail with a fundraiser pork loin sandwich meal at The Lake. The event was deemed a success when rain showers stayed away. According to chamber director Jane Lanphere, local businesses and organizations teamed up to host the fun event and fundraiser for the July 4 fireworks display. The event raised $3,600 and includes a match challenge by the Ben Franklin Lodge members.
