The Star Herald invited Korean War veterans living in Rock County to gather for a commemorative picture Friday morning, May 18. Twenty-two veterans met at the grounds of the Rock County Courthouse including (front, left) Norm Ykema, John Hup, Russell Wenzel, Harold Kindt, Bob Lange, George Heronimus, (second) Leon Siebenahler, Jim Harner, Wayne Van Wyhe, Delbert Elbers, (back) Wayne Biever, Alvin Blom, Arvin Tilstra, Lowell Ahrendt, Floyd Kraetsch, Keith Luethje, Albert Rust, Elden Reyelts, Dale Matus, Bob Bailey, Arnie Stoel and Al Willers. Unable to attend Friday’s photo session were John Mulligan, Claude Van Driel, Don Spease and Gerhard Fick.
