Kids invited downtown for treats Oct. 31 for Halloween
Trunk ‘n Treat set for Tuesday
Participating Luverne area businesses will be handing out Halloween treats from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31.
This year Main Street will be closed from the Palace Theatre to the Mall on Main corner.
This will offer a safe way for children to walk down on the road and businesses to hand out candy from their trunks, according to Luverne Chamber Director Jane Wildung Lanphere.
“Chamber members work to provide a safe, secure and organized atmosphere for children to enjoy this holiday,” she said.
“We look forward to a ‘spooktacular’ afternoon with the members of the Luverne Area Chamber.”
In case of inclement weather, candy distribution will take place at the Luverne Elementary School.
Check the Halloween advertisement in the Oct. 30 Luverne Announcer for the list of participating businesses, or go to the Luverne Chamber website, www.luvernechamber.com.
