Holiday appreciation Day in Hills features Santa Claus, lighting of Unity Tree

Monday, Nov. 25, was Holiday Appreciation Day at the American Legion in Hills. The event was sponsored by Helping Build Communities Stronger and the businesses in the Hills, Beaver Creek and Steen area. Photographs with Santa were a highlight of the event, with visitors of all ages posing with the man in the red suit (worn by Randy Beyer).
At the lighting of the Community Unity Tree on Main Street, Howie Vis welcomed the group and Pastor Maggie Berndt-Dreyer from the Bethlehem Lutheran Church read scripture and led the group in prayer.
