Highway 75 gets temporary fix

Workers with R&E Enterprises of Mankato Inc. began milling an inch to 1.5 inches of asphalt from the pothole-ridden surface of North Highway 75 in Luverne Monday. The repairs were expected to take one day to complete, but the scattered showers postponed the startup of the hot mix plant until Tuesday. The work is referred to as “emergency repairs” to extend the life of the road base until 2025 when a total rebuild of Highway 75 is scheduled for the entire stretch through Rock County.
