H-BC school board accepts resignations of elementary and high school custodians

At their regular meeting Monday, May 11, the Hills-Beaver Creek School Board accepted the resignations of part-time custodian Gerald Hamann, effective Friday, May 15, and part-time custodian Alice Brandt, effective Friday, May 22.
The board also approved hiring Sara Wells as kindergarten teacher and Haley Tollefson as half-time Title I Lead Teacher for the 2015-16 school year.
 
In other business May 11, the board:
•heard that Paige Tilstra, Madison Spath, Sidney Fick and Jenna Wilgenburg took first place in the Medley Relay at Howard Wood Track and Field Meet in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Saturday, May 2.  The girls also broke the school record with a time of 4:18.74.
•congratulated Teacher of the Year Robin Schuelke and Friends of Education Harlan and Sue Stueven.
•heard that Allison LaRock participated in the Minnesota Sixth-Grade Honor Choir.
•reviewed the results of the recent Flexible Learning Year Survey.
•noted that Senior Graduation Day is Friday, May 22, at 7 p.m.
•noted the next regular board meeting is Tuesday, May 26, at 7 p.m.
