Farm to Pint event raises cash for BackPack program

The Rock County Corn and Soybean Growers Association presented a check of $4,400 to the Backpack program to support their summer program efforts. 
The money was raised during the Farm to Pint event at Take 16 Brewing in Luverne on April 12.
A freewill offering for a meal of hamburgers donated and cooked by the Rock Nobles Cattlemen’s Association and rib ticklers, donated and cooked by the Rock County Pork Producers, raised $1,700.
The dueling piano performers later that night donated half of their tips for the night, adding another $500, and the Rock County Corn and Soybean Growers matched all proceeds for the event.
