Unbeknownst to incoming Luverne High School senior Rylee Gee and Southwest MN CEO student, the fourth grade valentine box she made from metal led to the creation of a business seven years later.
Gee’s business called “OG Metal Design” was one of 13 showcased Wednesday night, June 17, ending the 2019-20 Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities program.
Gee’s love of drawing allows her to make patterns for 3-D printers. The patterns are sold on eBay for others to make their own finished products.
Participation in the CEO program taught Gee an important lesson.
“I really had to learn to finish everything,” she said.
Other students, high school, and their business included:
•Brinna Bloemendaal, junior at Edgerton Public, “Bloem,” a social marketing business.
