Rock County Relay for Life will be a drive-through event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, at the Luverne City Park.
There will be a drive-up meal for a freewill donation. People are encouraged to park and enjoy the meal in their cars.
“Ain’t No Bull Entertainment” will broadcast the event on a radio station (yet to be determined). Yvette Van Der Brink is the Relay for Life Honorary Chairperson this year.
Poster boards, instead of luminary bags, will honor survivors and remember loved ones in order to make names more visible to people in their cars.
The poster boards are available for a freewill donation at Salon 75 or First Farmers & Merchants Bank, or people can make their own posters with tag board.
Participants in a virtual 5K can run or walk anytime Aug. 20-23. Registration for the 5K and T-shirts are available at luvprintexpress.com/relay5k
Survivor names can be sent to luvrockrelay@gmail.com to be put on special luminary bags.
