Don Bryan lives in Hardwick and is seeking election to the open District 1 County Commissioner seat.
1.) Forty-five year member of Arthur Moeller American Legion Post #478 Hardwick and Luverne VFW Post 2757; 40-year member Hardwick Volunteer Fire Department (six years as chief); served on the Hardwick State Bank board of directors; Zion Lutheran Church board of elders; Luverne Board of Education (one year as chairman); Luverne School Foundation; former mayor and councilman for the city of Hardwick.
2.) After graduating from Jasper High School, I served four years with the U.S. Air Force including a year in Vietnam as an aircraft mechanic. I’ve been employed at Exchange State Bank (formerly Hardwick State Bank) since July 1975. My family consists of my wife, Lorna, sons Chris and Craig, and six grandchildren.
3.) I have always been interested in community service. I want to see the county continue on the path of progressive actions as have past board members.
4.) Administrating county government, work to ensure citizens’ concerns are met; federal and state requirements are fulfilled and county operates efficiently.
5.) Lifelong resident, service on previous boards and organizations.
