A 15-year-old died Saturday, June 22, from injuries he sustained in a crash near Lismore.
Carter Braun, of rural Reading, and another 15-year-old were reportedly ejected from a pickup that rolled over.
The other teen reportedly suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
Braun, son of Andy and Kim Braun, just finished his freshman year at Adrian High School and participated in the Luverne hockey program, which expressed condolences on social media over the weekend.
"Luverne Hockey suffered a tremendous loss yesterday afternoon,” the message stated.
“Carter Braun played hockey for Luverne starting in mini mites and up until his passing yesterday. Carter was a member of our Luverne High School team and was a bright, up-and-coming star in our program."
Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Friday, June 28, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Worthington.
