Justin Kemp (center with scissors) of Kemp Electric, Luverne, and his family, friends and staff hosted an open house, ribbon-cutting and grand opening event Friday night to celebrate the new Kemp Electric building in the industrial park. The new Kemp Electric building at 924 South Walnut Avenue is a 40-by-60-foot shop that includes a garage with a loft above the offices and lobby, plus two bathrooms. The business handles commercial, industrial and residential electrical work. Friday’s celebration included live music and a Bluestem-catered meal and drinks.
