Community corrections director receives statewide recognition

Rock Nobles Community Corrections Director Jon Ramlo received the Jack Young Corrections Award for 2016 at the recent Minnesota Association of Community Correction Act Counties annual conference in Nisswa, Minnesota.
The Jack Young Award is given to individuals who have furthered the mission of community corrections having made outstanding contributions to the development and improvement of community corrections in Minnesota.
Ramlo is past president of MACCAC, a representative to the Crimnet Taskforce, chairman of the conference planning group and a member of the Court Services Tracking System executive board and Drug Court Initiatives group.
His willingness to serve at the state level meant making a six-hour round trip to fulfill his commitments.
The nomination of Ramlo for the award noted: “What is more impressive is how he handles his work and carries himself. I have seen someone that is always kind and always caring about his colleagues and his staff. It is important for him to recognize others around him while not looking to be recognized himself.”
Ramlo has been Rock Nobles Community Corrections director for 14 years. His office is housed in Worthington.
