A Cloquet man was seriously injured Wednesday, July 8, in a one-vehicle rollover accident on Interstate 90 east of Luverne.
The driver, Emil H. Juntunen, 50, of Cloquet, was eastbound in a 1996 GMC Jimmy when he lost control and went into the ditch. He overcorrected in the ditch, resulting in the vehicle rolling multiple times before coming to rest on the driver’s side.
The accident occurred at 11 a.m.
Passenger Brian P. Wait, 55, also of Cloquet, received nonlife-threatening injuries.
The Rock County Ambulance Service transported both men to Sanford Luverne Hospital. The Rock County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
The preliminary report indicated neither man was wearing a seatbelt. The vehicle was totaled.
