Character Counts

Lead Summary
, ,

Austin Sargent and Kaitlin Moore, Actor/Educators from CLIMB theatre, Minneapolis, visited Luverne Elementary School Oct. 24-28 to illustrate the importance of character in school and in relationships. The subject matter focused on respect, cliques and exclusion and social skills.

Pictured above, Moore works with kindergarten students Nolin Shelton (left) and Henry Donth about proper introductions. At left, she praises Emma Cowell (left) and Delaney Ahrendt for greeting each other properly.

At left, Sargent leads students in a noodle dance to celebrate what they learned.

When Sargent gets carried away and forgets to take turns with the noodle, an “offended” Moore sulks off.

When students are asked what should be done, the correct answer was to offer an apology, which Moore did.
