Cenex, Glen's Food and Gas awards 'Tanks of Thanks'

Glen's Food and Gas Center honored several local individuals last week through the Cenex Tanks for Thanks program. Pictured are (front, from left) Sue Sandbulte, Joyce Hansen, Teresa Latten, Alice Hansen, Beth Capistran, Gib and Henrietta Elbers, (back) Glen's employees Nicole Baler, Macey Edwards, Andrea Woods, Logan Bosch, Crystal Phillips, Shirli Akkerman and Sherri Thompson. The Tanks for Thanks program recognizes people for their civic contributions and rewards them with Cenex gas cards for their kind deeds.
 
Capistran was nominated for her volunteer efforts in dog rescues, the Elberses were nominated for serving popcorn to staff at Sanford Luverne clinic and hospital, the two Hansens volunteer at local nursing and assisted living facilities, Latten volunteers with and helps coordinate fundraisers for the Pink Ladies group that supports cancer survivors and their families, and Sandbulte volunteers with several local organizations, including Sanford Luverne, Green Earth Players and various musical events.
