Luverne Street Music Carnegie Minstrels raised more than $2,000 for the Rock County Emergency Food Shelf with their Dec. 7 community cantata “Sing Christmas” in the American Reformed Church. The Luverne Area Community Foundation supported the performance with a $500 grant to help cover costs, so that the entire amount could be donated. Pictured at the Food Shelf (in the lower level of the United Methodist Church) Thursday afternoon, Dec. 19, are (from left) LSM representatives Janine Papik, Susan Skattum and Luella Voigt and Food Shelf staff and volunteers Sharon Oksness, Mary Gehrke and Norbert Fick.
