By Lori Sorenson

A candlelight vigil is planned in Luverne for Sunday, May 24, on the eve of Memorial Day.
The ceremony will be at dusk, about 8:30 p.m., at the Rock County Veterans Memorial at the Rock County Courthouse Square in Luverne.
The event will honor the service and sacrifice of Rock County service personnel.
It will include the laying of the wreath, reading of the names of those killed in action and missing in action, and special music by Barb Antoine.
A reception will follow in the Herreid Military Museum following the service.
If weather doesn’t cooperate, the ceremony will be in St. Catherine Church, with the reception following in the museum.
The museum won’t be open prior to the ceremony.
